How to Love

For those who desire to 'trump' the Words of Christ with the Gospel according to Paul:
I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the Apostolos (messenger) more important than the One who sends the message. (John 13:16 NLT with Greek Aposto-los revealed.)
If Jesus says in Matthew 22:38 the law and the prophets hang on two great commandments, why does Paul OMIT the most important one saying in Galatians 5:14 the law is fulfilled in the second one only? (Note, James 2:8 calls “love thy neighbor” the “royal law” without saying it’s the ONLY one.)
AND ALSO:
you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

You need to understand that te Jews were under the curse under the Old Testament times. But Jesus broke the curse over them. Thanks to Jesus' sacrifice we are in a totally new era. We received a new and better Covenant with God. We became His sons. The curse was broken Gal 3:13. We became God's friends. Under the Old Testament God did not have any children, He did not have a close relationship with people. He had a few chosen people to whom He spoke. But hen Jesus came everything has changed. The law was changed. The relationship between God and people has changed. The relationship between husbad and wife has changed. The wife was no longer to be ruled by the husband. They are now both sons of God, both are one, there is no male no female in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:28.
The foundation of our life is no longer the Old Testament Law but what Jesus did for us- sacrificing His own life for us to redeem us and save us and reconcile us to God and what Jesus teaches is now our foundation to be implemented in our life. We are to live as He wants us to live. Jesus opened a new way. That is why the Law has changed. We live no more under the OT law but under the New Covenant of love which is written in the New testament. This is the base for our lifestyles and the way we should think and comform to and be molded unto.
RE: The curse is lifted?
Karrie, you have said elsewhere, and somewhat repeated here:
I have to ask why it is that only a portion of the woman's curse has been lifted. You say that "The wife was no longer to be ruled by the husband", but that was only a part of the curse. What about the part of the curse about the woman's desire, and of the pain in childbirth? Why are then still with woman? At least they were last time I was in the hospital. And also, what makes you think that man and woman were ever NOT equal before the eyes of God?
Also, what about the curse on Adam? How was that that lifted? Which part? Any? Does that mean that man no longer has to toil, or that he no longer sweats? Is the ground no longer cursed? Do thorns and thistles no longer grow? Again, what makes you think that man and woman were ever NOT equal before the eyes of God?
